It's got holes in the pockets, but they match the holes in my heart. And the big hole in the story are trying to tell us about what we're covering this week. Didn't we already do this stereotyped noir detective voice gag in the intro for our episodes on Spider-Man 2 and Into the Spider-Verse? That's what some of these yegs might think. No. That's what some of these yegs might think. We've been digging a little deeper. We figured there's more to this whole detective voice thing than you've been telling us, Robinson. No, no, it's just kind of a silly bit we do at the beginning of episodes to let people know what films were covering. Covering, eh? As in covering up? Who are you covering up for here, Robinson? What are you trying to hide behind all this silly voice chicanery? What they didn't know was that I write these intros like this just because I think it's hilarious to hear them do goofy voices. But what I didn't know was that it was all going to rebound on me, and sooner than I thought. Hey, who's who's who's talking to over there? Nothing, nobody. I'm just breaking the fourth wall a little bit. But you's talking about stuff you don't even know yet. I mean, the version of me that's writing this script knows what's coming, but the version of me that's currently reading it here hasn't gotten to that part yet. So in this timeline... This is sounding like some sort of twisted, complicated conspiracy. Yeah, well, okay, that's the point. See, in this episode pairing, we're looking at a couple films that both play around with time and draw on but break narrative murder mystery convention and generally mess around

with the audience's expectation for their genre.

Hey, you guys, look, I found a folded up note in my school locker that explains all this.
