This week's guest is Valencia Clay.

Valencia and I are both very passionate about self-care, self-heeling,

and teaching our way through things,

whether we're teaching ourselves or outsiders.

Valencia is originally from Harlem, New York.

Valencia's journey is significant because she made a way out of no way.

We talk about Valencia being a woman and a woman of color on top of being an educator and how being

a black woman has molded and shaped her way of teaching and how she's perceived as an educator.

She had to do a lot of self-heeling,

as she calls it, before getting to where she is.
