We start by analyzing the biggest and maybe the last free agency move of the season.

Katie Scheid and Germain Grangeet joining on some news you heard here on the podcast last week.

We talked about the brand dynamics, hypothesizing how that may have played into the decision

and also spent a few minutes talking about Jonathan Albin resigning his deal with the North Face.

After that, we spent a bunch of time talking through the recently announced broadcast distribution deal between the Golden Trail World Series and Warner Brothers Discovery,

a deal that was broken down very well by Matt Walsh in the TrailMix newsletter, including

how it might be another step towards trail running's inclusion in the Olympics, maybe as early

as 2032.

Then we talk about M.K. Sullivan taking a pregnancy deferral at Western States, her golden

ticket rolling down to Abby Hall, a great recent feel-good story in the sport.

And then we close by quickly banging through some recent race results, including Gorge Waterfalls,

Kobe Trail in Japan, the kickoff of the

Golden Trail World Series, Lake Sonoma, Desert Rats, etc. As usual, love chatting with Karen,

and I get to do more of it this coming weekend for the third year in a row. We'll be trailgating

our faces off at Canyons by UTMB. The final super golden ticket race leading up to Western states.
