Today is the 17th of June 2025. And on this date in 1885, the Statue of Liberty arrived in New York City.

Today is Bunker Hill Day, a day to remember one of the most important battles of the Revolutionary War,

and to be reminded by history nerds that it was actually fought mostly on Breeds Hill, not Bunker Hill.

So, starting off with tech news,

Tesla owners in France are suing Elon for turning their vehicles into right-wing symbols.

A wave of Instagram users were banned and are suggesting that AI is to blame. So far, I haven't actually found any evidence of that,

but I'll keep monitoring it.

The Trump administration canceled Biden's plans

to connect rural Louisiana to the speedy internet.

If you're counting on that fiber optic connection,

it doesn't look like it's coming anymore.

And now on to space.

There's big news in our solar system.

Researchers might have identified a new dwarf planet past Neptune.

That's cool enough.

But what's more interesting to me is that it reportedly has a stable orbit.

That means that the hypothetical planet X, existing beyond Pluto, may not

actually exist. At the Paris Air Show on Monday, the European Space Agency released pictures

of an artificially created eclipse. The images were created by a pair of satellites. During the Apollo era, tiny orange glass beads were found on the moon.

Recent research is analyzing them and determining how much information about volcanic activity on the moon can be pulled from them.
