So today, we're going to talk about the Minnesota Capture, Claims, and New Information.

We recently covered some claims that circulated immediately in the aftermath of what occurred in Minnesota.

Some of it, we were able to quickly

debunk but we also didn't have a clear picture. More information has become available

since he was captured. So we're going to go through the information, not just

because it's a news story but also to illustrate how far initial claims are from reporting

most times. This is a pretty good example of that. So, we all know the initial claims said the

suspect was a political appointee linked closely to Governor Walls. He was a Democrat, a Marxist,

and so on. As far as the appointment goes, Walls reappointed him to a

position he had been appointed to by the previous governor, as we covered last time. We also mentioned

that it was such a low-level position that you could apply to volunteer yourself.

Turns out, that's exactly what the suspect did.

There's still no update on whether or not he and one of the victims who was on the same

board, interacted, or whether or not it played into the motive.

We mentioned that one of his close friends said he was a conservative

who voted for Trump. We now know he was deeply conservative and attended an evangelical church.

He was described by friends as a normal conservative who attended Trump rallies. There were claims that he was a registered Democrat

in Minnesota. When he lived in Oklahoma, he registered as a Republican in 2004. In Minnesota,

there are no records of him registering as a Democrat because they don't register by party there.

If you heard someone report his registration by party in Minnesota, maybe double-check their work in the future. We also learned he owned a
