finding joy every day this week. We are midweek in our series and I want you to

stop for a moment and just think about what you are joyful about today.

Now think about what you were joyful about yesterday. Do you remember? Do you

remember what you were joyful about the day before yesterday? When you think

back over what made you happy, it's likely that those times of joy became a

pivotal part of your day, meaning that regardless of how minor the joy seemed

at the time, it gave you a boost throughout your day and it could even have

been a turning point in your day. You chose to focus on joy and so you found joy

and it was almost like a tool for you. Very likely that was your reaction. Whether

or not you are focusing on something uplifting such as joy or something that

is anxiety provoking, you are likely to get whatever it is you focus on. Your joy

moment could happen something very small or insignificant and when you're

experiencing social anxiety, the thought that causes you the anxiety could be

pretty small or insignificant such as the thought running through your mind. When

I make this presentation or talk to this person, I'm probably going to look

foolish. You don't know that for sure and even if you did look foolish, would it

really matter that much? So the social anxiety you can build around small

subtle thoughts can become massive fears that contribute to your social

anxiety. I want to share with you again a definition of social anxiety. It's

defined as anxiety anticipating a social situation or anxiety during or after
