Syria, a lot, a lot, a lot has been going on in Syria.

Jalani or Alshara, whatever the fuck they want to call him, is now the leader, as we know.

And it's not exactly been a smooth transition by any means, despite the kind of downplaying

of regional violence. It is quite serious from what I understand. Recently, there's been

serious clashes between the Kurdish community in Aleppo and HTS militants or whatever I kind of

I don't even I refuse to kind of jump into this new naming of things I feel like it's just a very

weird like kind of strange thing to do it's almost like you're kind of showing reverence

which I refuse to do but um and so you've got HTS fighting them. You've got strange Turkish back militias

are hanging around. There's all sorts going on. Maybe you can just unpack that for us. Explain what's

actually been happening much better than I just did. Yeah. So in Aleppo, you have these two neighborhoods,

Sheikh Maksud and Ashrafia, that for the entirety of the war, have been under the control of what was the YPG, what became the SCF. But these are like isolated little pockets. I mean, hundreds of thousands of people live in these areas. They're quite urban. but they're not connected to any areas that were formerly

under YBG SDF control. And when the former regime fell, you know, these areas had been surrounded
