Earlier this month, we collaborated with the organizers of the Socialism Conference to put

together five sessions for this year's conference, and today's episode is the second of those

recordings that we're going to be releasing over the coming weeks.

In case you missed it, there's more information on that in a longer introduction that I did

for the first session we released, which was an episode called the Political Economy of COVID.

But today's episode is be in conversation with Rasha Abdul-Hadi about the need to be more

bold in our actions in solidarity with Palestine.

They'll introduce the discussion in just a moment, but I have just a couple of quick

notes about this.

The first is that toward the end of today's episode,

you'll hear a guided facilitation that Rasha did with everyone in attendance.

My suggestion for this part of the episode,

and the reason that we've included as audio,

is if you can, do the exercise that Rasha runs through.

Take a moment to think about the questions that they pose.

If you're with a

group of people while you're listening to this, try doing it together. That's my suggestion. The second

thing is just a small note for context. Midway through the recording, you'll hear Rasha talk about

the conditions at the event, reflecting what they call kind of a Davos safe environment. So just to make

sure that there's context for this that everyone in the room had,

but that you wouldn't necessarily know just listening in.
