And then our text today comes from Luke, chapter 16, verse 10 through 12, in the New Living Translation of the Scriptures.

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.

But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.

And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?

And if you are not faithful with other people's things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

I'm talking today from the subject, Redeemers, Redeemers.

You may be seated. I want to highlight as a Redeemer, somebody who was faithful with that that belong to another.

I want to highlight the faithfulness of Boaz in the Old Testament,

the husband of Ruth.

Boaz became a faithful father.

Actually, the Hebrew name Boaz means in him is strength.

In him is strength.

We need folks that bring strength.

You know what another word for strength is courage.

So to encourage means to put back into strength.

So when a person has become weakened by failure, by disappointment, by lack.

When they become weakened by mistakes, weakened by the delay of time for good things to happen for you,

you always then need someone to encourage you, which is to put you back in strength.

The name Barnabas, Paul's companion, meant encourager.

He had the gift of encouragement.

And he didn't try to find people that were already on top and encouraged those,

but he would go to the underdog,
