And let's look in Galatians 3 and 1 Peter 1.

In Galatians the 3rd chapter, the 13th verse, the word of the Lord says,

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.

As for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ,

that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Hold your place there. Go with me to 1 Peter. Let's remind ourselves of this verse of scripture. 1.18.

It says for as much, 1. Peter 1.18. It says, for as much, 1.1.18, for as much as you know,

that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers. But, in other words, but you were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ

as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Thank God.

We've been redeemed.

Amen.

We said to you that redeemed

means bought back.

It means ransomed.

And thank God

Jesus bought us back.

He ransomed us.

Amen.

And in order for him to need to buy us back, that implies that we had been sold.

And we studied scriptures like Isaiah 50. Isaiah chapter 52 as well, a different places where that he told them, he said,

you have sold yourselves.
