Summary

In this solo episode, I’m sharing some unexpected life updates—including a few medical things I’ve been navigating lately—and TV shows I recently found out not everyone has seen (which feels criminal, honestly). Then we’re diving into modern dating red flags that are actually... green. From not texting all day to taking things slow to living at home and not having social media, there are a lot of behaviors we’ve been taught to panic about that are actually signs of emotional maturity, intentionality, or just being a normal person with a life offline.Let’s break down what’s actually a red flag—and what might just be your inner saboteur overreacting.

Hey guys, it's Alana and welcome back for another episode of seeing other people.

0:11.3

Last time I did a solo episode, I asked you guys to tell me if you like my solo episodes

0:16.2

because we all know I get really anxious about them.

0:20.1

And you guys told me you actually loved it. So here we are. That gave me the confidence to do another one. I know there's some stuff we didn't get to on the last solo episode, some listener questions that I wanted to talk about. And I actually just started keeping a note in my phone because I am a big notes app, girlie, about things that I want to talk about on solo episodes.

0:38.6

Because so often I think of things and I'm like, oh, this would be such a great topic.

0:41.8

Or I'll get into a conversation with a friend or a dating coaching client.

0:45.8

And I'll be like, oh, this needs to be talked about more on the podcast.

0:48.9

And then I'll forget.

0:50.1

So now I'm just going to have an ongoing list of topics on my phone, which is shocking that I

0:54.6

didn't already have this. But we have a lot to talk about today. And I'm really excited. I'll give you

0:59.7

guys the little updates and a little bit of the behind the scenes of what's going on with me.

1:04.9

And then we're going to get into the meat of the conversation. And today I wanted to really dive

1:10.5

into red flag culture and a lot of

1:15.1

seemingly red flags that are actually green flags. But because of TikTok and because of the

1:22.8

ick and because we are, you know, obsessing over every little detail, we end up thinking some of

1:29.2

these characteristics or traits or behaviors are red flags. And they're actually really good things

1:33.3

that we should be walking towards instead of running away from. And it's a really important

1:37.3

conversation to have. So I'm excited to have it.

1:52.0

And before we get into that, of course, always, guys, if you have not yet followed and subscribe to the podcast on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you're listening, please do.

1:56.1

Again, I ask this every time.

1:58.4

Nobody seems to do it.
