The House Republican leadership has delayed

three critical markups on President Donald Trump's reconciliation package as internal party squabbles

have hobbled the GOP's ability to move quickly. I feel like I've been a broken record here

and it is coming true is that this is going to be

complicated and as much as the White House and Speaker Mike Johnson and others have tried to

force this process along to move it as fast as absolutely possible. The details are what

really matter and that is what we are getting to right now, and that is

becoming very, very difficult. After a White House meeting between Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson,

House Majority Leader, Steve Glees, and key committee chairs, the GOP leadership, decided to delay

markups next week in House Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Agriculture, according to

Republican lawmakers and AIDS. Does that mean the timeline slipping here? I mean, they're saying

they're going to be moving forward, but they're losing critical time here, Jake.
