I have to say, I have taken more mental health breaks with this case than I think I

ever have in six years.

I'm glad tomorrow is Friday. So after lunch, Texas Ranger Job Espinoza was back on the stand. He said during the interview,

Tanner asked around five or six times about being able to go home. And the witness was asking

him questions mainly, why did this happen?

He said they already knew what happened with the evidence and the video, but they just wanted to know why for closure.

But Tanner wasn't willing to tell them why.

The witness said to Tanner that Athena maybe was just the wrong place at the wrong time, and Tanner said something to the extent of, I guess so, the state.

Tanner mentioned something about wanting to take her to the hospital. This interview was the first time he mentioned that, and the witness says yes. He also said he found Athena's pants in his backpack

at his grandmother's house when he had previously denied taking her clothes. Initially, he also lied when

he said he left her with her underwear on and then later said he didn't remember. As far as the

evidence in the case that they gathered, we're going to have a lot of witnesses come in for the

state to talk about these items of evidence that they collected during their investigation.

Obviously, the truck that he killed Athena in and the truck he was driving when he was arrested.
