Summary

This episode is going to educate you on creating better content for your business or social media streams. Duke Loren, a professional photographer for CrossFit HQ, dives into the smallest most budget friendly ways to get started. We slowly begin to build from iPhone accessories, to base model professional cameras, the lenses you should think about getting, and a few other options.

After we get equipment out of the way, we dive into all the settings. What they mean, what settings you should be using, and few tips for editing.

As a previous CrossFit athlete, affiliate owner, and now professional photographer for CrossFit HQ, I thought this episode would be right up so many peoples alley. It's such an important topic right now that not only makes you more valuable, but is slowly becoming a MUST asset to have.

If you can't use use a computer or a cell phone your pretty worthless right? Well... If you want to win in business or social media and you can't tell your story your also worthless. Content tells your story! Photos, videos, and words... I'm this episode, we knock out the photos and videos in English ;)

Have a great listen!

a camera. So we're here with Duke and he is a photographer for the CrossFit Games and

0:19.6

CrossFit. And he's to own a gym. And am I missing anything?

0:24.6

Yeah, a whole lot. So basically what I think will be really cool is if we can explain

0:33.8

everybody the type of equipment that they need to use to up their social media game. Some

0:40.1

cheap things they can get into, some tricks that they can do to make themselves look better.

0:44.5

Or maybe they're not in a social media and they just want to take some really cool photos

0:47.5

somewhere outside or with their family or whatever they want to do. But a lot of people

0:52.5

are getting really into photography and taking photos and videos and such. And it's overwhelming

0:59.5

our lives. I feel like a little bit. Everybody's living on Instagram. I feel like there's

1:03.3

going to be more car accidents than anyone's ever seen pretty soon.

1:05.6

Yeah, 100%.

1:07.7

But we can talk about your story and how you got into photography. I think it's really

1:11.1

really cool. We touched on it a little bit and I wanted you to save it. So when I first

1:16.0

met Duke, I was coaching at a gym and he came in as a member and always talked to me about

1:22.1

opening a gym and he had questions about it. And then Lil' Behold, he wound up opening

1:25.6

his own gym and then photography was born in Orange County.

1:31.2

It's pretty much how it happened. Let's talk about that.

1:33.9

All right, yeah. So I opened a gym and I wanted to help people. I didn't know how. So I thought,

1:42.4

I'll open a CrossFit gym. That's a great idea. We, whatever, anyhow. We all think that

1:48.2

was a great idea. We ended up not being that cool of an idea. Well, actually I had a blast.
