end up assisting those who don't need help to buy a really damning indictment of

the property purchasing situation I'm going to introduce you to a rather brilliant writer called Dorian Lindski later in the programme.

His new biography of George Orwell's 1984 has that author's dream of being published at a moment in history that could not be more timely.

And actually, I would use the word, a rather scary story involving

family values. I'm not, I'm not talking about Boris Johnson's absolute absence of them. I'm

talking about Britain being one of the least family friendly countries in the world. I have a little

look at that. It's a really interesting tale.

If I was feeling a little less concerned by the state of the nation, I'd probably be drawing your attention today to a survey of our favourite foods. I love this sort of stuff. I have very

horny-handed tastes when it comes to food. I am a big fan of what you might describe as

traditional peasant food. So I'd much rather have, for example, a scotch egg than a beef

Wellington. But I digress slightly. We'll have a little look at this later in the programme.

What do you think at the worst? What do you think at the very, very worst responses from the great British menu? And I say British because one

of them is a, I'll give it away completely, won't it? If I say it's a specifically Scottish dish.

Some of my all-time favourite dishes are among the least popular in the land. I don't know what that says about me. Five minutes

Halloween. Uh, the last time we were supposed to come out was a day before April Fool's Day and

this time we're supposed to come out on Halloween. It's great, isn't it? It's almost like the planets are trying to send us a message. And no deal. I don't think the needle moves does it on this. Some people claim you have to leave no deal on the table because it's a negotiating tactic and they say when you're in business. Actually, do you know what? I am going to explain again why that's idiot. Absolute idiocy. I appreciate I'm wasting my breath. People who understand it will agree with me. People who don't understand it will not agree with me. But here's the thing, right? When you go into the estate agents or into the car show room to buy a new house or when you go into the office or you invite into your office people who run a different

company with whom you're keen to do a deal right if you walk a one write this down i'll try and do it
