What we want to do today is to continue to walk through the exposition of Romans chapter 9 produced by Ligonier Ministries

with the late R.C. Spruill. As I've mentioned several times before and probably continue to

mention, I have a lot of respect for Dr. Spruill. I listened to his cassette ligadier tapes years ago. I disagree with him over Calvinism. I especially disagree with him

over his exposition of Roman chapter 9. I don't think he does a very good job,

really going to the original text, looking at what the context is, and understanding what

R.C. Sprole, understanding what the

Apostle Paul in his original context was saying. Now, obviously, you may think, well, I'm biased

because of my views on Calvinism, so forth and so on. I think even good reformed exegetes

would see this expository commentary on Romans 9 as more of a polemic against

Armenianism than an exposition of what Paul was actually talking about. That's just my opinion,

but I think it has good reasons for it. So we're going to pick up where we left off,

beginning in verse 16.

I will be watching for side chat, comments, questions, those kinds of things as they come up.
