We're coming to you live, and I'm going to wait for a few more people to join this chat.

But we're coming to you live after the Giants. We went over to the, in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, 40 to nothing was the final score.

0:28.2

About as disastrous as it could have gone, Nick, we're going to try to dive into tonight.

0:32.6

What exactly happened, how that happened, you know, how you can have the expectations that we had going into the season and then have a game like that happen.

0:41.9

Before we get into that, I wanted to discuss something, you know, earlier that I tweeted that I do honestly believe that sometimes things like this can happen in football where one play can, or a series of plays, I should say, can spiral into a loss like this. And Justin Pugh, former Giants player, talked about this on Twitter tonight. He discussed how, and he has actually played the game, unlike us and unlike anyone listening, really, for the most part, exception to maybe a few of you who played in the NFL, maybe. I don't know if you're listening to this podcast, but, you know, he said, look, I've been in this situation before. And a game like this doesn't always define a team. Sometimes when things start to spiral, they do spiral like that. And you have to throw the game plan out. And once you throw the game plan out, you are not playing to your best ability. And I think that happened with the Giants tonight, Nick. but also at the same time, it's not like the past where they shown some fight,

1:31.5

even in the Detroit game last year, where they got blown out. They showed a little bit of

1:34.8

fight in that game. And now the Giants, Nick, going into this, have lost by a combined score

1:40.9

of 78 to 7 over the last two football games, both two division opponents,

1:46.5

one at home, one on the road. So that's where we're at right now. Are you hitting the panic

1:51.0

button or where are you at with this? I'm not hitting the panic button, but I think it was a humbling

1:56.4

experience. A lot of the talk around the New York Giants and even people like us is, did the Giants close the gap with the Dallas Cowboys? And I was like, I don't know if the gap is closing, but I think it's very narrow. It's not very narrow because I think you're right. There was a cascading effect after the Andrew Thomas false start, really, because it was like the Andrew Thomas false start then the JMS bad snap and then

2:17.9

the blocked field goal for a touchdown. But even then you're only down by six because

2:21.4

numnuts missed the field goal. And then the Giants just could do nothing on offense because the same

2:26.7

problem that has plagued the Giants for the last decade plus is still plaguing the Giants

2:32.3

despite the fact that several general managers have poured

2:35.1

several different assets into fixing that problem, which is obviously protection in the
