Broadcasting behind enemy lines tonight's episode the antipatheticathetic Polygomist.

Today's date is Friday, May 8, 2020.

We are now at the end of my seventh, yes, my seventh week

of putting up a new podcast every weekday to hopefully help those of you who are

sheltering at home during the midst of this coronavirus pandemic, a pandemic which I hope

we are closer to the end of now than we are to the beginning. I want to give a big

thank you to all the listeners to this program and a special thank you to those of

you who have seen fit to make donations to Radio Free Mormon so that Radio

Free Mormon can continue to broadcast behind enemy lines.

A little note about the title to tonight's podcast, The Antipathetic Polygamus.

I expect all of you know what a polygamist is, but antipathetic takes a little

bit more in the way of definition. At least it did for me because I didn't even know this word

before I started this podcast, but I was winnowing through my

thesaurus trying to come up with words that were synonyms for reluctant.

And lo and behold, I came up with antipathetic.

And antipathetic sounded so much better in front of polygamists that I decided to go with antipathetic polygamist.

Antipathetic is of course the adjective form of antipathy.

And antipathetic means showing or feeling a strong aversion.

So what I mean by the antipathetic polygamist is a person who has a strong feeling of

aversion toward polygamy, but yet who ends up practicing polygamy anyway.

And this is not just a hypothetical person, this is in fact a friend of mine and one that I have
