At the end of the last session of General Conference April 2020,

the most recent General Conference President Nelson shocked

the Latter-day Saints by announcing a temple in Shanghai, China, i.e. in the People's Republic of China.

Not only did this announcement shock the Latter Day Saints, but it appears to have also shocked the Chinese government,

who shortly thereafter repudiated President Nelson's announcement and said he must be dreaming,

there isn't going to be any temple here in mainland China.

Others are at various stages of planning and construction.

When plans were announced to erect a new temple, it becomes part of our sacred history.

Now this part is interesting to me.

that others are at various stages of planning and construction now various stages

of planning and construction can cover a lot of ground.

It can cover temples that are actually under construction.

It can also cover temples that are in the planning stages and it can cover temples that have been announced,
