Broadcasting behind enemy lines tonight's episode part two of Magic and The Book of Mormon.

Today is Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

Here at Radio Free Mormon, I am engaged in my seventh week of putting up a new podcast every weekday to try and help those

sheltering at home during the midst of this worldwide pandemic caused by the

coronavirus. Happy Cinco de Mayo to all of my listeners. My goal was to put this

podcast up yesterday on Monday, May 4th, 2020 and I recorded fully an hour and a half

on this subject.

But as the day wore on and I was editing this podcast,

more and more ideas came to me.

And I realized that in order to do justice to this part two

of the podcast, it was going to take more time than I had available to me on Monday, May 4th, and so I am back at it here early in the morning on May 5th, 2020. My goal is to add additional material to this

podcast, get the entire thing edited and ready for primetime and get it up at

radiofree Mormon.org by this afternoon.

So a lot of what you will hear in today's podcast

is what I recorded yesterday,

and it will be interspersed with additional comments

and insights from yours truly recorded today, May 5th. So let's get to it. and was titled Magic and the Book of Mormon. And in that episode I spent some time looking at the translation process of the Book of Mormon from the perspective of a magician.

By the end of the episode I had concluded that from a magician's point of view,

the translation was never about the stone, it was always about the hat. That particular episode

almost did not get up, at least not last Friday.
