We continue our series tonight. I think we have probably three more sessions to go before the year of Wednesday night teaching times is over.

So they'll all be on this topic, namely racial harmony.

Let's pray as we start.

Father in heaven, I want so much for you to teach us,

strengthen us, purify us, make us strategic in our individual lives,

our corporate lives, our corporate lives, our social lives,

cultural lives, church as a body, groups in the church,

all of us, Lord, to learn the implications of belonging to Jesus for relationships

among different ethnic racial groups.

What I pray that you'd come,

guide me as I think this through

and even what angles to come at.

So help us tonight to understand more of what is happening in our land and our city

and what your word has to say about it. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

I want to start before I get to the word by reading a quote from an editorial that came

out of a newspaper today. Insight News, it's called. It's a black newspaper that Noel

and I get. And I want each time we do this for you to taste something of the perceptions of the black community

or I probably should say part of the black community since we all need to be aware there are black communities,

that there's not one black viewpoint any more than there's one white viewpoint.

And so when you hear this, don't say,

that's what all African Americans think,

say that's what some think,
