Mr. Is the law sin? May it never be? On the contrary, I would not have come to no sin except through the law,

for I would not have known about covening if the law had not said, you shall not covet. But sin, taking

opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind. For apart from the law, sin is dead. And I was once alive

apart from the law. But when the commandment came, sin became alive, and I died. And this commandment, which was to result in life, proved

to result in death for me. For sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, and righteous and good.

Let's pray together.

You've been with us, Lord. You've been with us as we have worshipped in song and prayer and praise and

scripture and now Lord we worship in preaching and in listening and responding and savoring the sweetness,

the sovereignty of our great God and his son, Jesus Christ. Father, you are great. There's none like you. Don't leave us to

ourselves in this last portion of worship. Broroughed, I pray, by your spirit over this people.

And may the weight of glory be felt,

make yourself known in this room by your word, I pray. And humble us as we come to

know our sin and purify us and empower us and set us free to love and to witness and to lay down our lives for the high calling of magnifying Christ in the world. I pray that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart would be

acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer, through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today is Palm Sunday.

It's that moment when Jesus was moving into Jerusalem in the last week of his life and it gets all of its significance from why he was coming to that city. Why was he coming? Now let me read his answer to that

question. Behold we are going up to Jerusalem and the son of man will be delivered to the

chief priests and the scribes and they will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles.

They will mock him and spit on him and scourge him and kill him.

And three days later, he will rise again.

He's going to be killed. He will rise again.
