0:51.7	We're going to be talking about something I think we've all experienced,
0:54.5	but are embarrassed to admit to. And it's when we become a martyr mom. You know, like your whole
1:01.4	life is just about sacrifice and why doesn't anybody honor you for that and give you an award?
1:07.3	It can be a cycle. It can be a phase. It can just be a season that you're experiencing. I wanted to
1:12.5	begin by asking you if you've ever experienced that. Oh, for sure. Hasn't every mom experienced that?
1:20.6	Yes. I hope so. I definitely have. But also don't want them to. I just, yeah. I know. I think it's
1:26.8	part of most mom's journey at some point to feel like I'm the only one doing anything around here or I have to do this. I have no choice in my life and poor me. And what's interesting, Monica, is that when you suggested this topic to me, I thought hard about the word martyr
1:46.1	and I looked up some definitions of it because I'm like, real martyrs are people that
1:53.0	we look up to because they owned their choices and their beliefs and their values.
1:59.8	So like religious martyrs are like Joan of Arc or different
2:02.4	people like that are people who really stood behind what they valued and what they believed,
2:08.5	whereas when we use it in more of this like colloquial way, like stop being such a martyr.
