Hello and welcome to another edition of The Firing York Show, the No Chat Podcast.

We'd like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today is that attack, that

assault on stage at the Oscars.

But one actual specific element of it, which is the opinion in the United States public

in general.

Especially as it involves the factors of race and sex and money and age and education

and how people viewed this attack on stage.

I mean, what are you supposed to think about it?

Will Smith, the actor, assaulted the comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars?

It seems kind of cut and dried.

Smith physically attacked Rock, apparently over joke, Rock told about Smith's wife, but

you don't get to physically attack somebody over making a joke.

Smith was in the wrong as he later acknowledged, although he didn't acknowledge it until

after he'd been into a lot of parties and done a lot of celebrating and dancing because

he won the Oscar 30 minutes after he attacked the host.

So anyway, it would seem to be kind of cut and dried that Smith was in the wrong and

Rock was not, but a new poll.

This is why I'm doing this podcast.

A new poll shows that a majority of Americans do not see it that way.

His man named David Shore, who is an influential pollster in the Democratic world.

At age 20, he was a key figure in the 2012 Barack Obama reelection campaign.

Now he is with the left-wing think tank center for American progress, also in a private company
