Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the No-Chit-Chit Podcast.

We like to get right into it, and what we're going to get into today is the subject of an

inquiring press.

In some corners of the media, it used to be a good thing, and now it's not.

Maybe you remember these days long, long ago, shrouded in the mists of time.

From 2017 to 2021, that would be last year.

When many members of the White House press corps took a strongly adversarial position toward

the administration of President Donald Trump, they confronted, they grilled White House officials,

and as they did that, some journalists were cheered on by late-night comedians who, at

the same time, seemed to compete with each other for the most creative ways to insult

the president.

And then, of course, Trump being Trump, he would hit back, and then they hit back even harder.

Now, you may remember specifically an incident in which Stephen Colbert, the CBS late-night

show host, said to Trump, quote, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir

Putin's cock holster.

I wondered whether I could really say that on a podcast, but that's what he said.

He really said that, and as a matter of fact, he listed it, he put it in a number of insults

of the president.

And I think we might as well.

Why don't we just listen right now to the whole Stephen Colbert thing?

Mr. Trump, your presidency, I love your presidency.

I call it disgrace the nation.
