Well, as we begin, I want to go back to a category that the three of us, four of us,

have spoken about, that is, as we deal with racial issues, Gwendo has an African-American

male, Abby is a biracial woman, Susan as an African-American male. Abby is a biracial woman.

The reality is we need to address the fact that you three bear a burden,

both in leadership, but with regard to your own experience and your own communities.

And I'd love for you to talk about what the bind is that you experience,

even having to talk in many ways on behalf of your own people.

I think what comes to my mind, just that phrase family business.

I feel like as I talk here and as I share this, as I even do this kind of working in the

Islander Center, you know, as a therapist, there's a sense of, man, as I share my heart, and not only my heart,

but that's, that also is also in the heart of much of my African-American community, but I'm only

one, but I'm aware that just having that sense of man, as I share, I'm telling family business.
