| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here, and of course today we are talking about Tesla's Q2 delivery |
| 0:12.2 | and production report. Tesla has just released these numbers here on Saturday morning. |
| 0:17.7 | And we are slightly below Inel's consensus, but pretty close to what people have been expecting |
| 0:22.1 | largely, I would say. So of course, the delivery number here, as we can see, came in at 254,700 |
| 0:28.5 | vehicles versus that analyst consensus in terms of analysts that had updated their forecasts |
| 0:33.4 | since the Shanghai lockdowns was at 256,700. So a couple thousand vehicles short, but |
| 0:40.2 | right in that same range that people have been expecting. As for production, Tesla was |
| 0:44.1 | a little bit higher on production than deliveries. So building that inventory a little bit |
| 0:47.7 | up, which like we said, we expected due to drawing down inventory the last three quarters. |
| 0:53.4 | And a lot of production this quarter falling into June, the last month of the quarter, that |
| 0:58.0 | makes it tough for those vehicles to all get delivered before the quarter technically wraps |
| 1:01.8 | up. So Tesla says they produced, you know, despite, they produced these numbers, despite |
| 1:06.9 | ongoing supply chain challenges, factory shutdowns beyond our control, June 2022, something |
| 1:11.9 | that a lot of people will miss, was the highest vehicle production month in Tesla's history. |
| 1:17.6 | So as we talked about, even though the delivery numbers here aren't a quarterly record, what |
| 1:25.1 | matters most for the rest of the year is this statement right here, highest production |
| 1:28.6 | month in, in Tesla's history, Shanghai probably doing a record, a free month, probably doing |
| 1:33.9 | a record, Berlin, in Texas, all probably record months, I would guess individually, and those |
| 1:38.9 | are going to all continue to ramp up. So very exciting. As we had an Q3 despite a little |
| 1:43.3 | bit lower performance here in Q2. And again, I think these are well within the range of what |
| 1:48.0 | people have been expecting. So I don't expect any significant reaction, either way, when |
| 1:53.7 | the markets do open again on Tuesday. We'll obviously see on that and it's hard to predict |
