0:16.9 | Two other quick pieces of news before we get into that though. |
0:19.7 | Tesla this morning announced that on April 19th they will be hosting an investor day for |
0:23.9 | autonomous driving. With that announcement they also announced that their |
0:27.2 | full self-driving computer, formerly known as Hardware 3, is currently in production |
0:31.8 | and they want to host investors to be able to experience |
0:35.4 | autopilot software first hand, quote, including features and functionality that are under |
0:39.6 | active development, end quote. I'm not going to focus on that right now because of the Q1 report. |
0:44.4 | The other update that Tesla shared shortly after market close is that they will start releasing |
0:48.3 | navigate on autopilot lane changes to enhanced autopilot and full self-driving customers without the required |
0:54.3 | confirmation for the lane changes. Both of these would normally be very exciting |
0:58.6 | announcements however that is completely tempered by the Q1 delivery and production report. |
1:04.5 | I doubt anyone has yet to see the numbers, |
1:06.3 | but just in case from the delivery report, |
1:08.2 | quote, in the first quarter we produced approximately 77,100 |
1:11.8 | total vehicles consisting of 62,950 model 3 and 14,150 model S and X. |
1:20.1 | Deliversaries were approximately 63,000 vehicles, which was 110% more than the same quarter last year, |
1:27.0 | but 31% less than last quarter. This included approximately 50,900 model 3 and 12,100 model S and X. |
