Today we are talking about the Q1 delivery and production report.

Two other quick pieces of news before we get into that though.

Tesla this morning announced that on April 19th they will be hosting an investor day for

autonomous driving. With that announcement they also announced that their

full self-driving computer, formerly known as Hardware 3, is currently in production

and they want to host investors to be able to experience

autopilot software first hand, quote, including features and functionality that are under

active development, end quote. I'm not going to focus on that right now because of the Q1 report.

The other update that Tesla shared shortly after market close is that they will start releasing

navigate on autopilot lane changes to enhanced autopilot and full self-driving customers without the required

confirmation for the lane changes. Both of these would normally be very exciting

announcements however that is completely tempered by the Q1 delivery and production report.

I doubt anyone has yet to see the numbers,

but just in case from the delivery report,

quote, in the first quarter we produced approximately 77,100

total vehicles consisting of 62,950 model 3 and 14,150 model S and X.

Deliversaries were approximately 63,000 vehicles, which was 110% more than the same quarter last year,

but 31% less than last quarter. This included approximately 50,900 model 3 and 12,100 model S and X.
