I'm so thankful you've stopped by, so grab yourself a coffee or tea and sit with me a bit as we talk about how God's

word impacts every area of our lives as Christian women. Hello, friend. I'm Marcy Farrell

0:27.9

from Thankful Homemaker, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. We are on episode 184, and it's

alongside you because I forget this pattern of putting off and renewing and putting on

1:31.4

so often. And most of the time, I only think of it after the fact because I can slip into trying

1:38.7

to change in my own strength. And we all know that doesn't go very well. So this episode isn't just something I'm sharing

1:46.4

with you. It's something my own heart needs to. I'm learning and growing right here with you.

1:51.6

2:02.8

It states, put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life, and is corrupt

2:07.4

through deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self

2:13.1

created after the likeness of God and true righteousness and holiness. So it's the Spirit's work of

2:19.3

sanctification, and it's him helping us to turn from sin to renew our minds with truth,
