Homemaker, and I'm so glad to be with you today. As we are stepping into the new year, and I know

we're up really a couple weeks in as I'm recording this,

but I have found myself with just a handful of thoughts I wanted to talk through. I felt like

this list kept building, and this is nothing big or formal, but what I'm sharing today are

just some parts of life that we're settling back into here. A few things I'm enjoying. Some areas we're slowly

working through at home. So today's episode, which I've titled Life Lately at Our House, and it's

episode 185, is more of an update and a check-in with you. I don't do that very often, but I hope

it feels today like we're sitting together and we're having a cup of coffee

and just chatting as we're beginning this new year. So, and I want to say this right at the start.

So I'm not sharing any of this as a, this is how you should do it. This is just what life

looks like around our home in this season. And again, we are empty nesters. So I'm kind of excited

to walk through some of this with you. So I'm going to start with what always feels like the most

important area as believers as we head into the new year, because I know it's something that

many of us are always thinking about, or we're starting fresh with, or we're continuing on in.

And that's our Bible reading. Doug and I in years past we've read the same Bible reading plan together we've

done the Robert Murray McShane plan we've done the five-day reading plan in the past but last

year we were on different plans and we realized we really didn't like that very much.

So this year, we decided to get back on the same plan again.
