We've got a jam packed show to say the least today, as we continue obviously a coverage of

Russia's brutal and illegal and unjustified invasion of Ukraine.

Many of you of course have been seeing some absolutely horrific scenes coming from Ukraine

as huge numbers of civilians have died in the onslaught, not least on major urban cities.

Now this war has been going on for about over three weeks.

If Russia's aim was a sudden capitulation of Ukraine or regime change as it were, then

that has clearly failed pretty abysmally, but nonetheless it does seem that an onslaught

on Kiev, the capital of Ukraine is impending.

We've seen the sorts of destruction, Russia's and the least on other urban centres.

I'm afraid if anyone who's looked at what Putin unleashed in Syria, these are horrifying

but not necessarily surprising.

Now, later on on the show we're going to talk again to Professor Paul Rodgers, who's

going to give us, again, his expert analysis of exactly what's happening on the ground.

It's important we have someone like Paul because the fog of war does apply in circumstances

like this.

I think we've all got the gist of the fact that Russia's invasion has not gone to plan,

according to Putin's initial war aims, but nonetheless I think it's important that

we actually assess what's happening.
