We've got a very, very important show today, which is a very damning inside into the realities

of modern Britain. The mass sackings of P&O workers is shocking, but in many ways not surprising.

Exposes higher, the terrible fire and that rehire, framework which exists in Britain,

the way that the law is systematically rigged against working people, the fact that a multi-nastro

completely behave like this. So you see this mass sackings of hundreds of people,

some by video link, there's various reports of, for example, people being told on video link,

handcuffs being used, people being forcibly taken off, marched off the ships, and reportedly,

Easter European labour being used with £2.60 an hour or even less. It's an absolute shocker,

and as I've said, it does reveal quite a lot about the state of modern Britain. Now let's just

go straight now to talk to Mick Lynch, who is the general secretary of the RMT, which is the

trade union, which represents these P&O workers. It's good to see you there. How are you doing?

All right, yeah, considering, it's been busy week. I can imagine, yeah, he just

talk us through what happened and how is it possible? Because a lot of people, maybe not

evenly, will just find this so astonishing that this is in any way legally possible. So just tell us

the basics. It's a bit complex. So if you have international voyages, so fairies to France,

Holland and the Republic of Ireland are governed by international law. So you can, if you choose,

as an employer, use overseas labour. So we've got a mixture, or there is a mixture of largely Russian

officers, Ukrainian ratings, Filipino ratings, Indonesian and Indian ratings. That's the crew
