Laura is a well-respected mycologist in Mexico and the daughter of the late,

world-renowned Gaston Guzman, the world authority on the genus Silocybe,

and who described and named more than half of all species.

As a collector of fungal specimens, she's travelled all over Mexico,

parts of Latin America and Europe in search of macroscopic fungi, particularly basidio mysides.
