Hi, my name is Pete Cazaro. I want to welcome you again today to another episode of the

Emotionally Healthy Leader Podcast. And today is a part two on the topic of four invitations

from God in our politically charged world.

So good to be with you and just so excited about Part 2 for today.

Now, when we read Scripture, we're meant to read it eschatologically,

which that means is we read Scripture with the end in mind,

and we've learned that from Jesus.

For example, in Matthew 22, when they were asked,

Jesus, tell us about, what do you do when a wife, her husband has died,

and then she marries, according to the Old Testament law, his next six brothers,

or seven brothers after him.

And they died.

They don't have any children. And who's her husband?

And so Jesus says, you are in error because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God.

At the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. They will be like the

angels in heaven. And so basically Jesus is saying, when you marriage. They will be like the angels in heaven.

And so basically Jesus is saying, when you read scripture, you read with the end in mind.

And so as we approach this topic of how do we navigate this political polarization all around us,

we read with the end in mind, the fact that we're looking forward to when there'll be one world filled with a glory

of the Lord, a new heaven, and a new earth. So the four invitations are really kind of based on

that. And so last podcast, we dealt with two of the four, I'll call them radical invitations
