Summary
It can feel so good when anxiety and OCD pack their bags and give you your child back. Heck, give you your home back. So it can be more than jarring, when that unwanted guest shows back up at your front door.
It is normal to feel disappointment, hopelessness and fear.
What if things get really bad again?
What if all our progress goes out the window?
What if this is a life sentence?
Those are understandable feelings after riding past storms.
But anxiety and OCD symptoms come and go and all those skills they patiently grew haven’t disappeared.
In this week’s AT Parenting Survival Podcast I talk about how to handle those feelings of overwhelm when anxiety or OCD symptoms show up once again. Feelings of overwhelm that not only impact your child, but you as well.
Also, I’m cooking up an OCD online, on-demand class just for kids and teens to teach them those life long skills to handle those waves! You can learn more by adding your name to the waitlist:
