| 0:51.6 | child is angry you have some better tools in your toolbox. |
| 0:57.0 | Okay, so for starters I have four points that I want to touch on. The first one is often when I get a kid that comes into my |
| 1:07.8 | practice and we're talking about anger and I'll say when you're angry what do you need to do and they'll say I |
| 1:15.0 | need to not be angry I need to not get so angry at that or so mad and for some |
| 1:22.3 | reason kids get the message that the anger part is not okay. |
| 1:29.0 | And I know a lot of times we don't convey that now sometimes we do |
| 1:34.3 | Sometimes we say you know stop being so angry or stop being so mad or calm down and |
| 1:39.2 | and stop getting so upset about that so sometimes we do directly attack the feeling |
| 1:46.0 | because we're parents. |
| 1:47.8 | And who thinks about these things in the moment |
| 1:49.7 | when you're like, you know, |
| 1:50.6 | you've got your hands full of groceries |
| 1:52.3 | and your kids melting down on the floor |
