Hey everyone, so I'm going to do the thing first where I talk about the author and the narrator

and then I'm going to fulfill a lifelong dream and

then the story is going to happen. Oh also hello welcome to Sudopod the

weekly horror podcast. So this week brings us the conclusion of Mysterium Tremendom by Laird Baron.

Laird is an Alaskan author who raced the Iditarod three times during the early 1990s

and has worked as a fisherman on the Bering Sea.

Laird's work has appeared in the magazine of fantasy and science fiction and many other locations.

His debut collection, The Amago Sequence and Other other stories was published in 2007 by

Night Shade Books. You can also find him in Black Wings, New Tales of Lovecraft

and Horror, The Delray Book of Science Fiction and Fantasy, and many, many more.

He was a 2007 and 2010 Shirley Jackson Award winner for his two collections,

the Amago sequence and occultation and other stories. This novella, Mysterium Tremendum, won the 2010 Shirley Jackson Award for Best Novella. He's also a 2009 nominee for his novel at Catch Hell and has been nominated for the Crawford, the Sturgeon, the

International Horror Guild Award, the World Fantasy Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the Locust Award.

Laird is one of the finest authors working in this field today.

The fact that we've got him and the fact that we've got this story from him is one of my

favorite things about this job so far.
