Summary

Welcome back to the Psalms for Summer’s End podcast series! These episodes are some of my personal favorites that were previously released to my patron audience only and now we’re making them available to YOU! I hope that as we all anticipate the turning of the season that these truths will encourage and strengthen us along the way!

Today you’ll hear all about our family’s FIRST trip to Lost Valley Ranch, a place–as many of you know–that would become a refuge for our family these past five years! It was when the Lord awakened us once again to wonder. Who-even-knew how a lope through a creek, on a horse, could change my life forever!

We’ll be in Psalm 8 together today remembering the majesty and mindfulness of God in the way that He made us and blessed us at Creation! Looking to His Word together has a way of clearing our view like nothing else can. Even when we can’t see the full picture, we can see Jesus and the love of God in sending Him to us!

0:37.8	days of each other so that my family and I could disappear for several days into the

0:44.2	So in many ways I feel like I'm re-entering the podcast world and especially our summer
0:50.0	in the psalm series and thankfully it has been a sweet re-entry as I share with you on Patreon
0:55.4	that I woke up thinking about all of you and that makes me grateful that God put you
0:59.7	on my heart and that this feels like a joy today to get back to the podcast.
1:03.7	It's always fun when the stuff that we're doing and we're about is life giving to us at

1:10.1	Our time away was everything our family needed and more.
1:14.2	Nathan and I because we travel so much have always sought solace by sort of vacationing
1:19.3	at home and honestly any money we would have spent on vacation through the years we've
1:23.2	often just invested it in our home but lost value ranch however is a place that will now
1:28.9	always be very near and dear to our hearts.
1:32.1	We are so very grateful for some family friends who helped make it possible for us to have
1:37.2	the lost value ranch experience this summer.
1:39.8	Yes it is an investment but I will tell you this if you make the investment it's worth
1:45.3	every dime and that is no hype.
1:47.8	Honestly it kind of broadsided us as far as how much we needed to unplug.
