When Jesus is being tempted in the wilderness, Satan

quotes Psalm 91.

Jesus could have said, you're misinterpreting that song.

I know what it means. I wrote it.

And you're not using it correctly.

But I think he gives us profound direction

as his people and his response.

He responds and he says, it is also written.

The only way to find the truth of Scripture

is to compare Scripture with Scripture.

From the beginning, God has revealed himself as trustworthy.

And Jesus helped us understand that by the way he interpreted Scripture.

Today, I'm renewing your mind.

We'll join Dr. Robert Gottfried's series on the Psalms.

Previously in the series, Dr. Gottfried explained

that the Psalms are divided into five books,

each with its own theme.

And today we'll look at portions of book four,

specifically, Psalms 91 and 93.

Psalms that comfort us in times of crisis.
