| 0:04.0 | rise up, O judge of the earth, |
| 0:06.0 | repay to the proud what they deserve. |
| 0:09.0 | Now we have to be very careful at this point, don't we? |
| 0:12.0 | Because it's easy when we come to moral outrage in the Scripture |
| 0:17.0 | to allow ourselves to be morally outraged on our own behalf. |
| 0:22.0 | And the Scripture says, no, no, no, no, no. |
| 0:24.0 | You're not to be morally outraged on your own behalf, |
| 0:27.0 | you're to be morally outraged on God's behalf. |
| 0:36.0 | They're called imprecatory Psalms, |
| 0:38.0 | praying for judgment against the wicked. |
| 0:41.0 | We read them and wonder, are we allowed to pray them? |
| 0:44.0 | Are we applied them to our circumstances? |

| 0:54.0 | But as Dr. Robert Godfrey reminds us, we need to be very careful. |

| 1:17.0 | looking backward to God's faithfulness in creation, |
| 1:20.0 | looking backward to God's faithfulness in his covenant with Moses |
