Hello there. This is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I joyfully pray you through the Bible verse by verse.

So grateful to have you here. Some of you are new to pray every day. So I just want to thank you.

It's just a month ago. And it has about a half hour long. It's a little bit

longer than all the other ones. And it has all the testimonies of people who have been touched

by this show. And boy, let me tell you, it was really encouraging for me, but I hope it's

encouraging for you as well, just to hear what God can do out of a little act of small obedience.

And that's what we're called to do. We're not called to do magnanimous things.

We're called to do a step-by-step obedience, and often those steps are baby steps.

And we have no idea because little as much in the hands of God

and the little that we do, God makes much of it for his glory, not for our own. And he does

cool things that we would never expect. So if you're discouraged today and you feel like

nothing you do matters, it does matter. Please know that it does matter. All right, today I'm reading from Psalm 39 in the World English Bible, and this is what it says.

And the introduction says,

For the chief musician for Jedithin, a Psalm by David.

I said, I will watch my ways so that I don't sin with my tongue.

1:31.4

I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.

1:35.9

I was mute with silence.

1:37.9

I held my peace even from good.

1:40.9

My sorrow was stirred.

1:43.5

My heart was hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned. I spoke with my tongue.

Yahweh, show me my end. What is the message of my days? Let me know how frail I am.
