Hey there, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I have the joy and privilege of praying you through the Bible verse by verse on the second day of March.

So excited to have you here with me. And I just feel compelled to pray for someone who's just trying to get home.

Lord Jesus, I pray for that person. There's been travel delays, there's been stress and frustration,

and Lord, I just pray you'd help them to take a deep breath. I pray that you would bring them

to where they need to go in a timely manner, but as they wait, I pray you'd sit them next to people

who need to hear about your love and your kindness, and I pray that you would calm any frazzled

nerves. I definitely struggle with that when I travel.

And Lord, I also understand and in my inkling and hunch here, and I could be wrong, but

that there is someone that is listening today who's just longing to go to a place.

There's someone there that they need to see and there's just this maybe unfinished relational

business and they can't afford it. I pray, Lord, for financial provision for that. I pray for an opening.

I pray for a miraculous door to open before them so that they can have that conversation and go to

that place. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, today we are reading

Psalm 38, the whole thing. It's a Psalm of David. It says a Psalm of David for a memorial. This is in the

World English Bible, and this is what it says. Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your wrath, neither

chasten me in your hot displeasure.

For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.

For my iniquities have gone over my head.

As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.

I am in pain and bow down greatly.
