Hey everyone, this is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day, where I pray through the Bible verse by verse with joy and intention really enjoying the Psalms right now.

I want to pray specifically for someone who's broken something, some sort of bone somewhere.

I don't know where, but Lord Jesus, I pray for my friend who is nursing a broken bone, a broken limb.

And I pray, Lord, that you would help them to recover well. I pray for healing. I pray the doctors do exactly the right thing.

And I pray that during this time of respite and rejuvenation and rehab, Lord,

that they would spend time with you and really hear your still small voice. Lord, help them to

keep a quiet day so that they can hear from you. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right,

today I'm reading from Psalm 144 in the World

English Bible. This is a Davidic song, and this is how it goes. Blessed be Yahweh, my rock,

who trains my hands to war and my fingers to battle. My loving kindness, my fortress, my high

tower, my deliverer, my shield, and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.

Yahweh, what is man that you care for him?

Or the son of man that you think of him?

Man is like a breath.

His days are like a shadow that passes away.

Part your heavens, Yahweh, and come down.

Touch the mountains and they will smoke. Throw out lightning and scatter them. Send out your

arrows and route them. Stretch out your hand from above. Rescue me and deliver me out of the

great waters, out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouth speak deceit, whose right hand

is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed liar, I will sing

praises to you. You are he who gives salvation to kings, who rescues David his servant from the deadly

sword.
