Dr. Eric Berg talks about the relationship between protein and belly fat burning. Protein is responsible to trigger 3 main fat-burning hormones - growth hormone, IGF-1, glucagon. But proteins should not be consumed in excess quantity as that can stop us from losing weight as that can trigger insulin. The quality of protein intake also determines fat burning so it should be high quality (no soy), no added sugar, digestible, non-allergic, complete. A high protein diet in the appropriate amounts will ensure is ideal for losing weight and fat burning.
