Hey, what's up everyone. Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Show. So today we're going to be doing a quick and easy one on house plant propagation. I really like this particular plant because it's a really easy one for people to grow. Yeah, sure, it might not be the most

flashy plant out there, but it's a great hanging basket house plant that does not require a lot of

care. So that would be the spider plant, and specifically we're going to talk about how to buy one

spider plant and then never buy one again for the rest of your life and of course

there's only one way to do that and that would be to have spider plants delivered

to your door by someone who paid for them.

Now, I'm just kidding.

It would be to propagate them yourself.

Spider plants are one of the easier plans to get started with as far as propagation goes

because it's very straightforward and obvious how to

propagate them just by looking at them as plants. Now they're going to produce

these things called spiderettes. A lot of people will call them spider plantlets, whatever you decide to call

them, the propagation method is fairly simple. And actually, before we get into it, I would

give you a tip.

If you're going to a nursery and you're ordering or buying a spider plan,

look for one that has a few plantlets already, maybe two or three,

because then if you really think about it,

you're getting a three for one deal you're going to get three little

plantlets as well as the mother spider plant that's going to keep producing plantlets

and provided you know how to propagate them which is what we're getting into in this episode, you're going to have

three plants eventually that are fully grown and just looking amazing in your home.

So again, we are propagating from these plantlets.
