What I tell them is to give themselves a bucket of time in the morning

or right before they sit down to work if they only have an afternoon time block.

That is their special house tidy up or load of laundry time.

Because whatever you tend to get distracted by,

if it's something actually useful you need to do,

you need to give yourself a specific time for that.

Then you can move on to your computer work,

knowing you've got the housekeeping side taking care of.

It's like it's bugging you for a reason,

so just admit it and put it in your day.
