Welcome to the Bone Yard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Hump Day edition of the yard. Hope things are well with you wherever you are today. I'll be honest with you. It's been kind of tough to get motivated. Got a lot of stuff to do around here. There's a lot going on. I'm kind of pinned in to the message boards these days. There's been a lot of news to report.

We're going to break that down today and talk about, you know, some rumors, some things that I've heard and some things that could possibly come to be. That's what we do. It's part of the gig. You know, it's not always good news. I think it's important to understand that. You know, this time last week we were on top of the world.

Jane Crombardy's coming back. Bucky Watson's coming back. Jed Johnson's coming back. And this week it's been completely different. It seems like every time we turn around, there's negative

news surrounding the Bulldog football program. We have reached a point where college football

is now a 365 day a year news cycle. There really is no

quote off season. And this is the first year of the transfer portal window that started December

the 5th. It runs 45 days. And so as a result, there's a lot of news.

And we've got the December signing period coming up here in a couple weeks.

That'll be big.

Then we'll have Christmas.

Then it'll be ball time.

Then we'll be in the home stretch as we push into the February signing period.

And shortly thereafter, you know, we'll get a little time off.

And the college baseball begins and then spring football begins. So it's always something. It's good for us and bad for us at the same time. If you're like me, you're very passionate about Mississippi State, which is why you listen to podcasts such as these, you want to know what's going on. And so I feel it's my responsibility to tell you. I don't want to be that guy like after the fact. He goes, yes, we've heard a little bit about that. And sometimes that is the case. But I've been very forthright, I guess, if you're a member of jeanspage.com, you know, of course, the last two nights in a chat session, and we do recap that, put that in the bones for all our members. I've shared with you some things that could potentially be on the horizon of the negative

variety.

I want to provide you guys to a bit of an athletic director hiring search update.

From what I understand, I've talked to multiple sources this week dr. Mark Keenum and the committee going through some Zoom interviews with I guess

you would call them the semi-finalist from there they will pair the list down to two or three finalists and bring them to

campus for an in-person interview, give them a chance to go see things and kind of get to know

everybody in person. And some names that are still associated with a job, of course, Jared
