Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson. Back in the Stargville studio, I can't say I'm especially happy about it, but I am here and I've got things to do. I had a great time in New Mexico. If you've never been in New Mexico, I'd encourage you to go make a visit. I wouldn't encourage going to live there. It's a cool place, it is.

But people are a little different there.

I can't say like it's a better or worse situation.

But growing up in the South and then traveling somewhere that is, you know,

pretty far removed from the Southeast, you begin to realize why they call this the hospitality state.

It's a lot different. It's a lot different. I would say, yeah, it's probably better. It is.

I guess maybe if you grow up with that and you visited the South, you probably wouldn't know how to

react. Like, you know, around here, you know, people hold doors open for you and people say

hello to you. It's a little different, man. It and i'm i'm really not the guy to be inconvenience and i hate to act like a karen or something but i'm the kind of guy that'll say something you know usually i just kind of live and let live but i'll tell you it's like going to walmart and new mexico and i went just about every day i was out there tried to I didn't want my wife to lift a finger the whole time I was there. I didn't. I did it all, man. Wash dishes, did the laundry, did the shopping. She was working. I mean, she wasn't off the whole time. So I didn't want her to do anything. I wanted to spoil her a little bit. Even took some time one day. and she was complaining about there's nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. It's a real small bathroom, a little place she's got there. So I went and bought an etergette, bathroom edgé, and put it together before she got up, surprised her. I want to make her life easier, right? I mean, that's part of being in love, man, is trying to make the other person's life easier but i went to walmart every day and i guess after a couple days man i thought maybe the first day i went on a bad

day i didn't i went on a regular day because every day it was like that kind of going forward

people just kind of inconsiderate you know it's like you you want to go pick up the buggy

and there's uh you know, a little entrance way to go get them, and it's lady just stops, and she's on her phone, and nobody can get a buggy, and there's like four or five people behind me, and she's just kind of standing there, and I was like, man, you've got people behind you. behind you oh I'm sorry and so I go in the store and I'm walking around and you're trying to buy a few

things here or there and I cooked a few days so the days that she works you didn't have to stop and

go pick up a subway or something you made some jambalaya one day made some made some tequitos one day made

Some chili one day you know just being being a good dude

But I'm getting ready to walk down now and this guy like this kind of cuts me off and he's just kind of sitting there

And I'm sitting there staring at him and he says, hey, can I help you? I said,

yeah, you can help me by moving your buggy. How about that? I'm trying to go down in the aisle here,

trying to live in a society. So that kind of stuff to happen. I got a bunch of other instances

like that. I just, you know, again, nice place, very scenic. We had a great, great, great meal at the 10-3 restaurant.
