Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. Hope it's a payday for you. It's Friday. Maybe it is. Hopefully it is. You can get out and go do some fun things with the family. I share with you guys so many times. I have never regretted packing the car and taking a wife and kids anywhere.

Now in the moment when everybody's begging for a bathroom break or daddy, can we get a snack or whatever, you know, I might not appreciate it as much then.

But not if they're older and they're kind of scattered around, the chance for us to

get together and break bread and be together is amazing. And so I look forward to that. So hopefully

you can do that too. Get out and go enjoy your family, enjoy your friends. Get out and do some cool

stuff. Hopefully you got the finances to go do that.

And isn't it wonderful that we live in a society? We can celebrate Maroon Friday as we choose.

Hopefully you're wearing maroon today. That's one of the things that when the new athletic director

gets here that I hope that we embrace and normalize and popularize again.

I used to love seeing all those tweets that would get retweeted to Scott Strickland

as we celebrated Maroon Friday.

And it's kind of been de-emphasized.

I think it's a great way for us to remain engaged.

And to, yeah, I'd be honest with you, when I'm walking around,

whether it be out Christmas shopping or at a gas station or whatever,

I'm wearing some Mississippi State stuff,

there's always somebody.

And granted, I'm a little more recognizable than most.

But I love seeing other people with the M over S.

I love to see people wearing the state script and even the M State banner because I know that

I'm among friends and I enjoy that.

And I think it's always good when we stand up from Mississippi State.
