Hello and welcome to Story Time for Grownups.

I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Each episode, I'll read a few chapters from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations, so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes. So brew a pot of tea,

find a cozy chair, and settle of season two of story time for grownups, and I'm thrilled to be here with you.

You know, we are exactly two weeks away from the end of this book.

I can't believe it. I feel like the time has flown by. But there are five more episodes left if

you count this one, which means that on Monday, the 25th of November, which is two weeks from today,

we will be reading the final chapters of this book.

There are 61 chapters in the book. Today we're going to be reading chapters 50 through 52,

and the rest will be reading between now and the 25th. So for those of you who like to know

what's coming, what's happening next, which I totally get because I am exactly the same way, I will tell you that, so the 25th of November will be

the final chapters of this book, then that next Thursday, the Thursday that comes next,

the 28th, which is Thanksgiving, so it will obviously be pre-recorded, but there will then be a kind of wrapping

up episode where I take your questions from those last chapters and we kind of bring back in

all of the different themes and ideas that we've been talking about and bring everything to a close.

So that'll happen on the 28th. And then the following Monday is the start of December. It's December 2nd, and that is when

we will begin our as yet unrevealed Christmas book, our book for the month of December, which

will be our kind of Christmas special that we're going to be doing throughout the month of

December. And I will reveal that book, so I will tell you what book it's going to be

in a trailer, which I am going to drop on Saturday, November 23rd. So you can keep your eye out for that.
